Ziqi Luo (Zoey) is a thoughtful pianist known for her sensitivity, artistry, and technical brilliance. Her artistry blends a deep connection to the classical repertoire with a natural musicality. As a performer, Ziqi thrives in the works of Baroque, Classical, and Romantic, such as Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, and Chopin, while also bringing fresh insight to contemporary and impressionist pieces like Debussy, Ravel, and Ligeti. She has sensitive timing and a good instinct for phrasing and character. She has graced stages across the globe, delivering both solo and chamber performances that have captivated diverse audiences.


Ziqi has garnered honors in prestigious competitions, including the Mingzhu Piano Competition, the Hailun International Piano Competition, the Hong Kong Liszt International Piano Competition, the Chinese “Jin Kui Hua” International Piano Competition, the Shanghai International Public Piano Competition, the Valldemossa Chopin International Piano Competition, the Pacific Stars International Piano Competition, the Royal International Music Competition. Her recent success at the 2024 Carles & Sofia International Piano Competition, winning the “Gold Hands with Special mention of the Jury,” “Best Beethoven,” “Best Debussy,” “ Best Chopin” showcased her exceptional talent with both brilliant technique and emotional depth, marking her remarkable musical career in the classical world, and offered the opportunity to perform in Gala Concerts in Barcelona and Girona as well as participation in the “ Tribute to Claudio Arrau Project.” She was featured as an experienced performer worldwide at the Carnegie Hall, Shanghai Grand Theatre, Ningbo Concert Hall, Shanghai International Music Festival, Gijon International Piano Festival, Vivace Music Festival, and the Walnut Hill Piano Festival.

A student of Professor Alexander Shtarkman, Ziqi is currently pursuing her master's in piano performance with pedagogy emphasis at the Peabody Institute of Music.
